Fantasy Football, Korean Tacos and Marilyn Monroe

Last night at our abode we hosted a Fantasy Football draft. What did this mean? Lots of boys, lots of computers, lots of cheers and groans, and me hiding out in the back bedroom watching a chick flick.

But, despite being shunned out of the living room I had a great night. And, it was for two main reasons:

Korean Tacos, as captured by John Esterly

1. Korean Tacos
Per Michael’s request, I made Korean tacos for the draft night dinner. It’s the easiest recipe and is just simply delicious. But, I’m not bias… all the boys raved about them and I even got a shout-out on Instagram (follow me at @anne8luce) by John Esterly: “Korean tacos by Anne Luce, and they were AWESOME”.

Here’s the recipe – again, super easy and super nom nom nom. For additional sides, I added some cotija cheese, marination mobile sauce, and sriracha.

2. Marilyn Monroe
As mentioned, I retreated to the bedroom to watch a movie while the boys dorked out in the living room during their fantasy football draft. On my way home I swung by a Redbox machine and rented the movie, My Week with Marilyn. It was one of those that I’d wanted to see in the theatre but never got to it and totally forgot about it until seeing it as a Redbox movie option. Well, I’m glad that I rented it because it was so good. Michelle Williams, who plays Marilyn, was amazing. I totally recommend it!

So, this Labor Day weekend, if you’re not up to anything, may I suggest a Korean taco dinner movie night? If you choose to do so, you’ll be happy you did.
