DIY Handmade Seasonal Cards

Halloween card inspiration, Anne as a witch!
I love to make my own holiday cards – be it Halloween, Valentine’s Day, Christmas, or birthdays. There is something about getting a handmade card that I think really shows the person you care.
This Halloween I decided to make a card for my daughter, Anne. I chose a “witch” theme because I came across a picture of her as a child dressed as a witch for Halloween.
  1. To begin your card, pick out some fun, festive Halloween paper and use it as the base of the card. Often I’ll attach the paper to a blank card or some card stock I have lying around.
  2. Using double stick tape, attach a vintage family photo – I usually scan the picture and make a copy of it so I don’t lose the original photo.
  3. Download free Halloween fontsso you can type out a Halloween message for the inside of the card. I like to include poems in my cards (just make sure to credit the author). But, if I’m feeling extra creative, I’ll even make up my own poem and give the credit to myself!
  4. And, that’s basically it! Often I’ll make my own envelopestoo, but that’s optional.

Have a fun and Happy Halloween!
