Ah-Wuh-Ju-My-A

Korean beef: it’s what’s for dinner.
One of my favorite places to grocery shop and plain-ole’ explore is Uwajimaya. It’s like a stamp in your food-passport without ever having to leave your neighborhood.
After our regular trip to Costco on Sunday, we swung by Uwajimaya in search of some delicious spices to accompany the 2-pound bag of udon noodles that Michael just couldn’t pass up.
Well, a quick stop for udon spices turned into a basket full of interesting delicacies and treats – including special Korean beef which we enjoyed for dinner tonight. So simple to make, so delicious to eat! Here’s how:
  • Add 1 tablespoon olive oil to skillet over medium-high heat.
  • When oil is hot, add Korean beef in skillet.
  • Saute beef until cooked through (about 6-8 minutes). 
  • Scoop beef over brown rice (add some corn to rice as the veggie if you wish – carrots would be delish too).
  • Eat.
