|Korean beef: it’s what’s for dinner.|
One of my favorite places to grocery shop and plain-ole’ explore is Uwajimaya. It’s like a stamp in your food-passport without ever having to leave your neighborhood.
After our regular trip to Costco on Sunday, we swung by Uwajimaya in search of some delicious spices to accompany the 2-pound bag of udon noodles that Michael just couldn’t pass up.
Well, a quick stop for udon spices turned into a basket full of interesting delicacies and treats – including special Korean beef which we enjoyed for dinner tonight. So simple to make, so delicious to eat! Here’s how:
- Add 1 tablespoon olive oil to skillet over medium-high heat.
- When oil is hot, add Korean beef in skillet.
- Saute beef until cooked through (about 6-8 minutes).
- Scoop beef over brown rice (add some corn to rice as the veggie if you wish – carrots would be delish too).
Go visit Uwajimaya to explore: it’s time to let your taste buds out to play!
P.S. As mentioned, there is a 2-pound bag of udon noodles in our fridge for the two of us to eat in the next two weeks. I warmly welcome any udon-recipes! Send ’em my direction and I’ll blog about the great meal ideas I get.
