Happy 100th Julia!

Julia Child is one of my favorite people

  • I first discovered Julia Child while channel surfing and stumbling on her cooking show, her spark and confidence amazed me.
  • While living in DC, I learned more when visiting her kitchen at the American History Smithsonian museum – and learned so much more about what made her such an American icon.
  • Of course then there was Meryl Streep’s performance in Julie and Julia that made me just want to be Julia’s friend.
  • And, finally, when I read her autobiography, “My Life In France“, earlier this year I really fell in love with her spunk, spark and charm.

In Julia’s honor I promise to dust off my copy of “Mastering the Art of French Cooking” and create something delicious in the kitchen for you this Sunday night.

Happy 100th Julia! Bon Appétit!
