Scenes from the Market

I was giddy with excitement yesterday as my BFF, Liz, who lives in Portland was in town for a visit. We decided to meet up Sunday morning and, per her request, do something “Seattle-like”.

But rather than hit up the Space Needle or something super touristy, I settled on the idea of grabbing coffee and a strolling through the Fremont and Ballard markets. This one of my more favorite activities as there are always interesting sites and yummy bites. And, most importantly, it would allow for some good, quality girl-time chit chat.

As we walked and talked, I captured some of my favorite scenes from the market which I’ve posted below. I think there are even some potential future DIY projects based off of what I saw…

Veggies anyone?

Enormous radishes and beautiful carrots.
$5 flowers? Don’t mind if I do.

Love the key necklace. But for $35? Phooey, I can do that myself for lots less!

Picture frame tack board… hmm, not a bad jewelry holder – a future DIY project!

My two favorite signs from this Fremont Market vendor.

Door wreath idea!

Tunes at the Ballard Market.

Onions bigger than my fist!

Beautiful handmade cards – one for every occasion!
